Los Almendros is situated in Santa Teresa, a multicultural Surfer town on the beautiful Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica.
Our beach property is located in Northern Santa Teresa, away from busy downtown but very close to everything you need, like a nice café, a beach front restaurant, and a supermarket.
To travel from San José to Santa Teresa, you have several options:

By Plane:
The fastest way to get to Santa Teresa is to fly from San José Airport to Cobano Airport (approximately 25 minutes). There are currently two airlines that offer domestic flights: Green Airways and Sansa. From the airport in Cobano you can grab a taxi that will cost you around 50 USD.

By Rental Car:
If you like to explore some other things on the way to Santa Teresa, you might go for a rental car. There are several rental agencies located directly at San José Airport. In Santa Teresa you find the car rental companies Alamo, Budget and National. If you drive down to Santa Teresa you have to catch the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera (check the schedules) to cross over to the peninsula.

By Shuttle:
A shuttle is a comfortable and affordable way to get here (around USD 60 per person). or a private transfer around 280$. There are several companies that offer shuttle services from San José to Santa Teresa twice a day (depending on the season). They pick you up at the airport or your hotel and bring you directly to your destination.

By Bus:
If you are travelling on a budget, you can catch the direct public bus. It departs from San José Bus Terminal 7/10 or at the Villa Bonita Bridge near San José Airport. It costs you USD 15 per person (one way). The bus stops right on the street above Los Almendros (look out for Café Social). You can reserve your bus ticket under www.laterminalcostarica.com
