Almendros Story… When I found this place 20 years ago, I felt so fortunate! I was 27 years old when I first shook hands with the owner and made a deal. Since then, I have not missed a year coming down here. Back then, Santa Teresa was still a tiny village with no electricity, and there were a bunch of horses and chickens roaming around. The first thing I did was plant 50 fruit trees and a bunch of bamboo on the property. Today, this place energizes my family, which includes my wonderful wife Heather and our two children Phin 12 and Harper 8. It is our connection to nature and the internal world. I feel grateful to be able to come here a few times a year from the states and be in the moment. Welcome to our little piece of paradise – I hope it helps you reset as it does for us!
