Open our windows to the ocean breezes.
Open your eyes to one of Nature’s most beautiful creations.
Open yourself to total relaxation in lush, lovely, laid-back Costa Rica.
It’s all waiting for you at Villas Almendros, a serene and very private part of the Nicoya Peninsula on the north end of Santa Teresa. Tucked away on the beach front in the almond groves that give us our name, Villas Almendros offers two acres of complete retreat from the world…except for whom you may choose to bring with you.
Our two cabins sleep three people each, with a separate, fully equipped kitchen cabin between them. Rent one cabin, or rent both, and have the whole property to yourselves…
…Except for the occasional iguana. Oh, and the monkeys -- white face and howlers – and the turtles who come to lay eggs, the pelicans, magpay jays, hummingbirds, and butterflies who drop by to check out our giant cashew tree and the mango trees when they bear fruit every March. All year ‘round, in fact, there’s something flowering or fruiting at Villas Almendros Bananas. Avocados. Papayas. Lemon grass. All right in your own back yard.
The front yard is the ocean. Draped by almond trees, just beyond the swaying hammocks, the beach is always there for sunning and swimming, even spear-fishing for lobster on the rocks of Villas Almendros. Local guides will take you out further for dorado, wahoo, and yellow fin tuna. And the surf’s usually up at three choice spots nearby.
Bikes are always available to take you to restaurants not far off. Good sushi is a five-minute walk away. So is the boutique resort Flor Blanca and a Bali-style hotel, Milerapa. Not to mention the sights of the Curu Reserve, and the waterfalls and funky-hippie town of the Montezuma.
Plus, there’s the nightlife. Ah, the nightlife. You’ve never stargazed like this. Add your own big bonfire on the beach – there’s always driftwood to gather. You might decide to rent an ATV and stop off and some of the local hotspots. If you just want to unwind and relax this is the place to do it very private and very natural.
